Priority sites for marine conservation in the Philippines

In 2002, the Philippine government partnered with the academe and the private sector to convene the Philippine Biodiversity Conservation Priority-setting Program (PBCPP). The result of the PBCPP represents the national consensus on the priorities and strategies for conserving Philippine biodiversity with the identification of 206 priority conservation areas that covers both terrestrial and marine areas.
