The Cybermovement to Stop Mindoro Nickel Project supports the initiatives of civil society, local governments in Mindoro, Philippines and international advocates to stop the Mindoro Nickel (Mining) Project of the Norway-based Intex Resources ASA.

It groups people in cyberspace utilizing the power of the new media to express their opposition to the environmentally destructive large scale mine.

The Cybermovement moderates a social networking group on Facebook, where members freely share ideas, opinions and information regarding the project.

  1. It is with the greatest regret that I heard of the murder of Mike Rivera, former provincial administrator and officer of kafcode. We must demand a prompt and thorough investigation and we must all insist that the perpetrator(s) are brought to court, convicted and sentenced without the usual delays and evidentiary screw-ups such as we see being played out elsewhere!
